PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Hummel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonathan Briggs had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Briggs throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Hummel digs a right hand into Briggs's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Briggs's gas tank.
Briggs is pressed up against the cage. Hummel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Briggs down to the mat. Briggs avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Briggs on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hummel. Hummel obviously looking to wear him down.

Briggs ducks straight into an uppercut from Hummel and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Briggs manages to regain guard straight away.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Hummel arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Briggs's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
