Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dela Cruz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gracie is in Dela Cruz's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Gracie engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Gracie decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dela Cruz, up you get!
Dela Cruz ducks under a wild hook from Gracie.
Dela Cruz circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gracie will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dela Cruz throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Gracie takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Gracie throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dela Cruz was covering up waiting for the punch and Gracie finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Dela Cruz shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Gracie closes the distance and clinches.

Gracie breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Gracie is trying to break the clinch but Dela Cruz has him pressed against the ropes.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gracie breaks from the clinch.
Gracie takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Dela Cruz thows a body shot but no joy.
Gracie tries to clinch up.

No joy there for Dela Cruz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dela Cruz lands a lovely overhand right.
Dela Cruz throws a lazy right hand but Gracie sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gracie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gracie showed some decent athleticism there.
Dela Cruz tries to kick Gracie off in order to stand up. Gracie Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Gracie advances to mount.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Gracie is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Dela Cruz is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Dela Cruz flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Gracie anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Dela Cruz and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Gracie slips an arm under Dela Cruz chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Gracie has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Gracie is squeezing on Dela Cruz like an anaconda would it's prey. Dela Cruz fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Matt Gracie!
After the fight, Matt Gracie was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
