Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aramite Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roy Nelson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roy Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Nelson.

Nelson gets caught flat footed, as Wallace shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Nelson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wallace is one step ahead there.
Wallace trying to control but Nelson is working from the bottom.
Nelson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Roy Nelson wasn't active enough on the ground.

Wallace closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nelson quickly recovers to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wallace throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Nelson to regain full guard.

Nelson stands and throws Wallace's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Nelson is looking to take a break and control but Wallace is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wallace is trying to control Nelson's posture but Nelson avoids it.

Wallace throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nelson's waist but Nelson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wallace off to one side.

Wallace has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Nelson after a bit of a struggle.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wallace, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
