The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Firearm has Serd up against the cage in a clinch.
Firearm drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Serd gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Serd can't find room to land a body shot as Firearm controls the action.

Serd breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Serd fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Firearm to the ground. Serd is now in Firearm's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

A frustrated look appears on Firearm's face as he tries to break the clinch.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Serd here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Serd changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Firearm fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Serd throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Firearm tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Serd is in Firearm's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

It looks like Dres Serd has been cut.

Serd takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Firearm is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Firearm has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Firearm has Serd pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Serd manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Firearm is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Serd to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Serd shrugs it off.
