Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hedrig Pokousha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mario Bravo acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hedrig Pokousha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mario Bravo!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pokousha darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Pokousha thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Pokousha misses with a head shot. Bravo uses the momentum to regain guard.
Pokousha trying to control the position from guard on top but Bravo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bravo pulls Pokousha in close to his closed guard and prevents Pokousha from doing any damage or advancing position.
Bravo wants to improve his position but instead Pokousha has moved into half guard.
Pokousha with the ground and pound but Bravo uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Bravo is looking to stand up but Pokousha isn't so interested in that idea.

Bravo keeping moving, preventing Pokousha from controlling successfully.
Bravo managing to control the position.
Pokousha postures up.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Pokousha is looking to work some ground and pound but Bravo has wrist control.
Pokousha postures up in Bravo's guard and throws a big left but Bravo blocks it.
Pokousha throwing strikes but missing.
Bravo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Pokousha wants to control from the top but Bravo keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pokousha tries to clinch up
and Bravo counters with a three punch combo that has Pokousha backing up. Pokousha nods at Bravo to acknowledge the strikes.
Pokousha tries for a takedown but Bravo circles away easily
and Bravo counters with a thumping low kick.
Hedrig Pokousha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pokousha fails with an attempt to clinch.

Pokousha pushes Bravo up against the ropes in a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pokousha is pressed up against the ropes. Bravo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pokousha down to the mat. Pokousha avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bravo looks to land a left hand but Pokousha moved out of range nicely.
Pokousha shoots in but Bravo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Bravo forces Pokousha back against the ropes and clinches.

Bravo prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hedrig Pokousha. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pokousha has a couple of punches blocked by Bravo.
Bravo doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Pokousha throws a punch but it's blocked by Bravo.
Pokousha tries to pull guard but Bravo won't allow it.
Bravo stalling against the ropes.

Pokousha breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Pokousha scores with a takedown into Bravo's guard.
Bravo controls Pokousha momentarily but Pokousha frees himself.

Pokousha is standing up over Bravo. Bravo looks to escape but Pokousha dives into side control.
Pokousha wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bravo keeps working.
Bravo wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
An elbow from Pokousha crashes against the mat.
Pokousha throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Bravo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pokousha wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pokousha in side control lands a decent elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bravo tries to bench press Pokousha off him but Pokousha keeps the position.
Bravo is being controlled here.
Pokousha misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hedrig Pokousha dominated that round.

Bravo swinging wildly here.

Bravo tries to keep at a distance but Pokousha has taken the fight into the clinch.
Pokousha throws a punch but it's blocked by Bravo.
Pokousha has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bravo after a bit of a struggle.
Pokousha prevents a takedown attempt there.
Pokousha lands a shoulder strike.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Pokousha is trying to maintain a safe position but Bravo gets an underhook and turns Pokousha into the ropes.
Bravo trying to stall but Pokousha improves his position.

Pokousha tries a body shot but Bravo blocks it.
Pokousha wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Pokousha has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bravo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Bravo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Pokousha parries the strikes from Bravo easily there. Bravo is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pokousha to escape.

Pokousha sneaks back into half guard.
Pokousha wants to get back to full guard.
Bravo controlling the action here.
Bravo wants to take a breather but Pokousha is having none of it.

Pokousha trying to control but Bravo postures up.
Pokousha wants to improve his position but Bravo is controlling well.
Bravo missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Pokousha avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bravo.
Pokousha wants to get back to full guard.
Pokousha is refusing to be controlled, as Bravo sits in half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bravo is pressing down on Pokousha's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pokousha is holding on for now.
Pokousha is looking for a sweep. Bravo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hedrig Pokousha overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bravo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pokousha's head.
Bravo wants to take a breather but Pokousha is having none of it.

Pokousha slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Pokousha makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pokousha.
Pokousha bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bravo's guard.
Pokousha wants to control from the top but Bravo keeps moving.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bravo looking for a sweep. Not yet Bravo, not yet.
Pokousha is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Bravo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bravo wants to stand up but Pokousha is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hedrig Pokousha will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Pokousha throws a big shot that misses.
Pokousha tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bravo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pokousha throws a poor cross that misses
and Bravo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Bravo clinches up with Pokousha and pushes him back against the ropes.
Bravo swings wildly with an uppercut but Pokousha uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bravo is struggling to control the position.

Bravo breaks from the clinch.
Bravo stuns Pokousha with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bravo connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Bravo throws a head kick that misses.
Mario Bravo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pokousha fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bravo throws a right and a left that Pokousha avoids nicely.
Bravo misses with the combination.
Pokousha moves in looking to clinch but Bravo pushes him off.
Bravo keeps the fight on the outside.

Pokousha has managed to clinch.
Pokousha working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Pokousha goes for a takedown attempt but Bravo pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Bravo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pokousha circles away quickly and effectively.

Pokousha closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bravo quickly recovers to half guard.

Bravo is trying to control but can't.
Bravo is refusing to be controlled, as Pokousha sits in half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bravo blocks a jab.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pokousha tries to pull guard but Bravo holds him up against the ropes and eventually Pokousha drops back down to his feet.
