Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Diego Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angus McBasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandao comes to the cage accompanied by beast. Angus McBasher acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Diego Brandao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Angus McBasher!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandao lands an overhand right.
McBasher avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A right-left combo lands from McBasher.
Brandao is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McBasher rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Brandao moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Brandao looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A head kick misses from Brandao.
Brandao throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McBasher's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and McBasher duly obliges.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Brandao avoids a punch combination nicely.
McBasher pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Brandao back to the cage. McBasher follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
McBasher drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McBasher misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Brandao bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops McBasher! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

McBasher is rocked!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Brandao drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brandao jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
McBasher is still in real trouble! Can Brandao finish him?
Brandao sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed McBasher's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McBasher is defending against the submission attempts here by Brandao.
McBasher seems to have recovered his senses.
McBasher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brandao. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Brandao is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! McBasher is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Diego Brandao!
Diego Brandao opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
