Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Brandon Waldrup!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Titan Zephyr!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Waldrup tries to close the distance and clinch but Zephyr swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Zephyr rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Waldrup moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Waldrup with a poor takedown
and Zephyr counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Waldrup closes the distance looking to clinch
and Zephyr counters with a big uppercut that knocks Waldrup off his feet! Zephyr dives into side control looking to finish!
It looks like Brandon Waldrup has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Zephyr decides to stand up, so the ref orders Waldrup to his feet.
Waldrup throws a low kick but it's checked well by Zephyr.
Waldrup misses with a double jab.
Zephyr feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Waldrup crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Titan Zephyr!
