Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Osama Burhani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chuck Ferguson!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burhani fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Burhani tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ferguson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Burhani somewhat.
Horrible takedown by Burhani or perhaps it was just good defense by Ferguson which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Osama Burhani. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ferguson is looking for a sweep. Burhani is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Burhani seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ferguson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ferguson can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ferguson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burhani. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Burhani is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Ferguson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Burhani jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ferguson walks away with a smile on his face. Burhani gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Burhani dives in and grabs Ferguson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ferguson pushes down on Burhani's head and hops out.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Chuck Ferguson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Chuck Ferguson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Well Ferguson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
