Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Apollo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wick Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas misses with a two punch combination.
Lucas stuffs the takedown attempt from Apollo. Apollo gets slowly back to his feet.
Lucas connects with a jab.
Apollo throws a series of punches but Lucas avoids them all with ease.
Apollo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lucas throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Apollo.

Apollo darts in and clinches Lucas up against the cage.
Apollo wants a takedown but no success here.
Apollo is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Apollo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lucas paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lucas defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Apollo.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lucas enables Apollo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lucas manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Apollo is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lucas is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Apollo has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lucas avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Lucas is trying to maintain a safe position but Apollo gets an underhook and turns Lucas into the cage.

Apollo is trying to drag Lucas to the mat but Lucas just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Apollo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lucas.
Wick Lucas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lucas throws a head kick but Apollo moves out of range.
Lucas lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Apollo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lucas uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Apollo has time to react.

It looks like Daniel Apollo has been cut.
Apollo takes one on the button.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Lucas lands a right hook to the body.
Lucas looks to land a combination but Apollo avoids it well.
Lucas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lucas throws a hook to the side of Apollo's head but Apollo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lucas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No joy there for Lucas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lucas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Apollo was well out of range. Poor timing from Lucas.
Lucas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Apollo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The fighters circle momentarily. Lucas darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Apollo misses with a takedown attempt - Lucas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Apollo ducks right into an uppercut from Lucas.

Apollo moves into the clinch.
Lucas is trying to force a seperation but Apollo has the dominant position.
Lucas wants to break free but Apollo has control.
Apollo is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Apollo manages to break the clinch.

Lucas gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lucas is looking to stand up but Apollo isn't so interested in that idea.

Apollo tries to stand but Lucas is controlling from the bottom.
Apollo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lucas's guard.

Apollo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lucas keeps working.

Apollo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Apollo is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Daniel Apollo wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Apollo wants to clinch up but Lucas keeps it at a distance.
Apollo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Lucas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Lucas lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Lucas bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Apollo's head.
Apollo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lucas throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Apollo on the side of the head.

Lucas keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Apollo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lucas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Apollo somewhat.

Wick Lucas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Apollo blocks a head kick by Lucas.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Lucas in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Lucas leaves Apollo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Apollo has Lucas pressed against the cage, preventing Lucas from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Apollo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Apollo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Lucas throws a combination. Apollo tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Lucas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Apollo momentarily.
Lucas throws a series of punches but Apollo avoids them all with ease.
Lucas goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Oh Apollo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Apollo wants to clinch up but Lucas keeps it at a distance.
Apollo shoots for a takedown but Lucas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lucas throws a powerful right kick. Apollo tried to block low but the kick was high! Apollo was taken right off of his feet! Lucas jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
