PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Attero Dominatus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marti Pico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominatus comes into the arena with Sabaton - Attero Dominatus blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Marti Pico was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dominatus misses with a double jab.

Pico manages to work his way to half guard, despite Dominatus's best efforts.
Dominatus trying to advance position but Pico counters by regaining guard.
Dominatus sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Pico's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pico regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Dominatus.
Dominatus trying to control the position from guard on top but Pico is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dominatus is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Dominatus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Dominatus is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pico is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pico has escaped and now he's on top!
Pico must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Pico sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Dominatus doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Pico paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Dominatus - great work!
