Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raymond Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dan Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Raymond Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Morgan.
Morgan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Miller doesn't seem bothered though.
Morgan throws a hook to the side of Miller's head but Miller sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Miller uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Morgan.
Morgan cracks a nice hook into Miller's ribs.
Morgan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Raymond Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miller throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Morgan.

Miller gets through Morgan's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Morgan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Miller doesn't manage to clinch there - Morgan circles away.
Miller walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Miller bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Miller is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Morgan has escaped the position, nice work there.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Miller is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Miller throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Morgan works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Morgan throws a jab but it's blocked by Miller.

Miller is pushing Morgan up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Miller creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Miller lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Morgan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Miller is trying to trip Morgan. He has hold of a leg but Morgan is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Miller persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Morgan can do anything to dispel that myth.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Morgan wants to sweep here but Miller controlling him for the moment.

Miller is looking for a kimura but Morgan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Miller to get the leverage.

Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Miller seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Morgan for as long as he can get away with.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Miller connects with a nice short shot to Morgan's temple.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Miller winds up and cracks Morgan with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Miller in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Morgan tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Miller!
