The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Anton wants to work for an arm triangle but Samedov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Anton lands a nice short elbow.

Anton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Samedov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Anton looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Samedov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Anton winds up and cracks Samedov with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Anton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Anton gets to his feet and stands over Samedov, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Samedov felt that one! Anton unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Samedov from any more punishment!

Stephan Anton really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Brute logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
