Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sten Biller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Biller comes to the cage accompanied by Lützenkirchen- Nutcracker. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sten Biller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Dean Stevens!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Biller.
Nice takedown defense from Stevens. No joy for Biller on that attempt.
Stevens bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Biller's head.
Biller bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Stevens throws a combination that misses

and Biller holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Biller jumps guard and drags Stevens to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Stevens looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Biller with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Stevens cracks Biller with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Biller is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Stevens fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Stevens lands a big elbow.
Biller tries to reverse the position but Stevens maintains control.
Stevens can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Biller is looking to escape.
Biller sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Stevens prevents Biller from improving his position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Biller manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Biller working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stevens doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stevens manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Biller is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stevens is pushing down on Biller's leg trying to pass to half guard. Biller is fighting to maintain full guard but Stevens has managed to sneak the leg through.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stevens lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Biller takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Stevens scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Stevens shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Biller's guard.
Stevens connects with a couple of short punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stevens got a little sloppy there for a moment and Biller has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stevens has managed to get both his arms back between Biller's legs - danger averted.

Biller is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Stevens pulls his head out easily.

Biller lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Stevens!

Biller goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Stevens turns into him and now he's in Biller's guard.

Stevens has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Stevens connects with a nice short shot to Biller's temple.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dean Stevens showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Stevens throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Biller shoots for a takedown but Stevens saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Stevens feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Billers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Biller checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Stevens bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Dean Stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stevens motions for Biller to come forward. Stevens throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stevens lands with an uppercut that bounces Biller off the cage and back into range.
Biller takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

and Biller counters with a single leg into guard. Stevens didn't expect that.
Biller is looking to work some ground and pound but Stevens has wrist control.

Stevens scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Biller to see if he's OK.
Stevens creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Stevens has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Stevens in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Biller gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Biller is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Biller is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Stevens scores with a couple of nice shots.

Dean Stevens is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Stevens takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Biller sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Biller is trying to get back to full guard.
Stevens takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dean Stevens was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Biller uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Stevens.
Biller keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stevens.
Sten Biller has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Stevens lands a glancing blow to the side of Biller's head.
Stevens scoring well with a low kick there.
Stevens connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Biller momentarily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Stevens buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Stevens bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Stevens lands a jab to Biller's midsection.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dean Stevens comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Stevens winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
