The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garland stuffs the takedown.
Garland avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Evansen misses with a looping left.
A punch lands to the side of Garland 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Evansen shoots in but no luck this time.
Evansen throws a lazy uppercut

and Garland counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Garland .
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Garland stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Evansen swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Garland is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Evansen has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Garland is looking to defend but Evansen has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Garland ! Evansen pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Garland taps out and this one is all over!

Christian Evansen decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
