Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Strange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and River Greywar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hugo Strange!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, River Greywar!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Strange gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Greywar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Greywar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Greywar landing some decent shots from guard.
Greywar cracks Strange with a solid left hand.
Greywar must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Greywar throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Greywar trying to control but Strange is working from the bottom.
Greywar pushes down on Strange's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Greywar tries to stand but can't do so whilst Strange controls his leg.
Greywar thows a huge punch but Strange dodges it nicely.
Greywar winds up and cracks Strange with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Greywar drops an elbow to the side of Strange's head.

Strange taking some punishment here, with Greywar in his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Strange is breathing heavily.
Greywar is nestled in close to Strange, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Greywar slips a nice elbow through Strange's hands, connecting with Strange's forehead.
Strange trying to control but Greywar postures up.
Strange is looking for a sweep. Greywar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Greywar seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Strange does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Greywar stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Greywar misses with a wild combination.
Greywar shoots in but Strange avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Greywar shoots in for a double leg but Strange sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Strange keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Greywar.

Greywar lands a jab to the nose.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Greywar throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
River Greywar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Strange walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Greywar checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Strange ducks under a wild hook from Greywar.
Strange fails with the takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Greywar is defended easily by Strange.
Hugo Strange has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of River Greywar.
Strange blocks a head kick by Greywar.
Greywar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Strange as he avoids it easily.
A left and a right from Greywar both land. Nice combination.
Greywar misses with a straight left.
Greywar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Strange doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Greywar makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Greywar throws a series of punches but Strange avoids them all with ease.

Greywar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Strange napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Greywar has hold of Strange's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Strange seems comfortable defending it but Greywar has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Strange is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Strange is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Greywar couldn't care less - he's delighted!
