Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Forrest Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keith Elliott!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans swats away the attempt to clinch by Elliott.
Elliott stuffs the takedown attempt from Evans. Evans gets slowly back to his feet.
Evans moves in looking to clinch but Elliott pushes him off.
Evans fails with a takedown attempt.
Evans shoots in but Elliott avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Forrest Evans. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Evans has a takedown stuffed.
Evans tries to clinch up.

Elliott clinches up with Evans and pushes him back against the cage.
Evans blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Evans jumps guard.
Elliott trying to control the position from guard on top but Evans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Elliott has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Evans is proving hard to escape from.
Elliott looks gassed!

Evans is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Evans seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Evans has a closed guard, preventing Elliott from standing up.

Evans not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Elliott stops Evans from standing up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Elliott lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Evans tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Elliott swivels and escapes.

Evans looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Evans slows the pace down in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Evans stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Elliott to get to his feet.

Evans closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Evans escapes and gets back to his feet.
Elliott throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Nice takedown defense from Elliott. No joy for Evans on that attempt.
Evans fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Evans shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Elliott pinned against the cage. Elliott gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Elliott decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Evans makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Evans.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Evans wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

and Evans counters by moving into the clinch.

Evans pulls Elliott into guard.
Evans bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Elliott's guard.
Elliott is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Evans controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Evans is posturing up here but Elliott has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Evans tries to roll out but it's too tight and Evans has to tap! Slick submission there by Elliott!
