The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drake tries to close the distance and clinch but Swanson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Swanson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Swanson misses with a double jab.
Drake fails to land the takedown.
Swanson staying out of range there.
Drake misses with a hook.
Drake looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Drake throws a right and a left that Swanson avoids nicely.
Jab, jab by Swanson - just one landing.

Swanson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Drake sprawling to the canvas! Drake rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Swanson finish him?!

Drake is rocked!

It looks like Albert Drake has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Drake uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Swanson.
Drake is still on wobbly legs! Can Swanson finish him?
Drake throws a hook but Swanson blocks it.
Swanson loads up on a big right hand but Drake slips the punch.
Swanson lands a big right hook! Drake looks hurt but is still standing! Swanson lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Drake falls down and Swanson dives in with a huge hammer fist! Drake's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Swanson runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
