The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lii avoids it really well and circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Lii pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gracie swings widly with a right hand
and Lii counters with a left and a right that stings Gracie.
Gracie misses with a looping left.
Lii throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily.
No luck for Gracie with that takedown attempt.

Lii is looking to clinch but Gracie is avoiding it.
The crowd cheers as Lii lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gracie doesn't seem phased though.
Horrible takedown by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Lii which made him look bad.

Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Lii sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Lii is looking for a sweep. Gracie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
