Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Riordan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Keiji Kawada!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riordan throws a series of punches but Kawada avoids them all with ease.
Kawada rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Riordan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kawada swings for the body but Riordan moves out of range.
Kawada tries to close the distance and clinch up but Riordan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kawada throws a head kick but Riordan moves out of range.
Riordan fails to land the takedown.
Riordan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Riordan shoots in looking for a takedown. Kawada tries to sprawl out of it but Riordan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kawada manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Riordan lunges at Kawada with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kawada's hand.
Kawada has a takedown stuffed.
Kawada misses with a kick to the body.
Riordan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kawada pinned against the cage. Kawada gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tommy Riordan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Riordan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Riordan wants it to stay on the feet.

Riordan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Riordan showed some decent athleticism there.
Kawada flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Kawada gets full guard.

Riordan is sitting in close to Kawada's body. Kawada has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Riordan is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Riordan is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kawada.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Keiji Kawada!
After winning the bout, Keiji Kawada thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
