Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carton Leench (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Super Aldo Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carton Leench!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Super Aldo Alvarez!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leench shoots for a double leg takedown but Alvarez sprawls well. He's pushed Leench's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Alvarez gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Leench is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Alvarez pulls his head out easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alvarez wants to free his trapped foot but Leench is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Alvarez wants to control but Leench is keeping him busy.
Leench keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Leench wants to improve his position but Alvarez is controlling well.
Leench is staying active underneath Alvarez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Leench misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Alvarez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Leench. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Alvarez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Super Aldo Alvarez was stalling too much, according to the referee.
A punch combination from Leench misses.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Alvarez.

Leench takes the fight into the clinch.
Leench lands with a short shot to the head.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Leench.

Leench escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Leench really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Alvarez takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Super Aldo Alvarez has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Leench.
Alvarez stuffs the takedown attempt from Leench. Leench gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carton Leench. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Alvarez lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Alvarez takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Leench has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Alvarez.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Alvarez fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Leench to the ground. Alvarez is now in Leench's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Alvarez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Leench manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Leench is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Alvarez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Alvarez showed some decent athleticism there.
Leench works his way to full guard. Good work.
Leench is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Alvarez must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Leench will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Alvarez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Leench throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Alvarez.
Alvarez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Leench's waist but Leench gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alvarez off to one side.

Leench moves into range and clinches up with Alvarez.

A nice right hand lands inside from Leench.
Alvarez drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Leench gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Leench goes for a takedown in the clinch but Alvarez prevents it.
Alvarez tries to pull guard but Leench forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Carton Leench has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Super Aldo Alvarez.
Leench is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Alvarez pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Leench's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Alvarez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Leench tries to avoid it but Alvarez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Leench to the ground. Leench escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Leench closes this distance looking for a takedown but Alvarez circles away.
Leench lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Alvarez backs up against the cage.

Leench instigates a clinch.
Leench is trying to drag Alvarez to the mat but Alvarez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Leench is looking for a takedown.
Alvarez has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Leench wants to take the fight to the mat but Alvarez manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Leench connects with a nasty looking knee right to Alvarez's face.
Leench jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Alvarez walks away with a smile on his face. Leench gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

A looping hook to the body misses from Alvarez. Leench does a little dance to reset his feet.

Leench scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Alvarez goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Alvarez tries to close the distance and clinch but Leench swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Leench misses with a takedown attempt - Alvarez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Alvarez shoots in but no luck this time.
Alvarez leaves Leench with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Alvarez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Leench napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Leench manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Leench passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Alvarez!
Alvarez is wriggling around trying to escape.

Leench is working for a guillotine from mount but Alvarez frees his head quite easily.
Alvarez is trying to escape the mount.
Leench wants to control the pace but Alvarez is squirming around nicely.

Leench throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Leench stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Nice takedown defense from Alvarez. No joy for Leench on that attempt.
Alvarez throws a nice looking combination but Leench bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Leench shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Leench keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Alvarez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Leench fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alvarez, pushing him back against the cage.

Leench wants to sweep here but Alvarez controlling him for the moment.

Leench looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Leench tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Alvarez stays in close to Leench's body and controls the position.
Alvarez postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Leench lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Alvarez!
Alvarez is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Leench throwing strikes here but Alvarez is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Leench throws some wild stikes that Alvarez manages to avoid easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Leench tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Leench sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

And that's the end of the fight!
Carton Leench showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Alvarez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
