PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Madojemo Rossi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chief Tango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Bruno Hogan and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tango throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Rossi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tango is fending him off so far but Rossi persists. Nope, Tango circles away and we're back to standing.

Tango shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rossi's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tango is standing up over Rossi. Rossi looks to escape but Tango dives into side control.

Chief Tango has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Rossi shoots for a takedown but Tango saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Tango manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Rossi on his heels. He'll look to pass Rossi's guard now, I'm sure.
Rossi is breathing heavily.
Tango slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Rossi wants to sweep here but Tango controlling him for the moment.

Tango thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rossi's head.

Rossi fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tango on the side of the head.

Tango misses with a takedown attempt - Rossi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tango shoots in for a double leg but Rossi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Tango misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Madojemo Rossi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chief Tango.

Rossi is trying to force a seperation but Tango has the dominant position.

Tango pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rossi tries to bum rush Tango with a series of wild strikes but Tango uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tango dives in and grabs Rossi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rossi pushes down on Tango's head and hops out.
Rossi throws a head kick but Tango moves out of range.

Rossi drops back looking for a leg! Tango is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tango manages to kick Rossi off! Rossi jumps back into Tango's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close second round but Chief Tango will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Tango feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rossi takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Tango has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rossi's face.
Tango is landing with some decent strikes but Rossi is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Tango quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Tango but it's paid off an Rossi is forced to tap! Nice work by Tango.
