Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Coalman!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coalman throws a half hearted mid kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jackson lands a shot to the body.
Jackson is looking to take this one to the mat.
Jackson managing to block the knees to the body from Coalman.
Jackson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Coalman.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jackson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice takedown defense from Coalman. No joy for Jackson on that attempt.
Coalman closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jackson circles away.
Jackson throws a right hand that Coalman ducks under and follows up with a left that Coalman also avoids with ease.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but Coalman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Coalman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jackson sprawls well. Jackson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Coalman gets slowly back to his feet.

Coalman dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Coalman's head and hops out.
Coalman tries to clinch but Jackson is having none of it.

Jackson throws a series of punches but Coalman avoids them all with ease.

Coalman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Coalman wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy.

Jackson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Coalman throws an elbow but Jackson slips to the side and avoids it well.
Jackson parries the strikes from Coalman easily there. Coalman is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jackson to escape.
Coalman creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Jackson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Jackson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Coalman wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jackson tries to escape but Coalman is in control.

Coalman drops an elbow to the side of Jackson's head.

Jackson is trying to control but can't.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Jackson tries to get to full guard but Coalman has control of the leg.
Coalman stops Jackson from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jackson regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Coalman.
Coalman postures up in Jackson's guard and throws a big left but Jackson blocks it.
Jackson is trying to hold Coalman in close to prevent damage but Coalman has managed to pass into half guard.
Coalman is looking to stall here but Jackson recovers full guard.
Coalman throws an elbow that misses. Jackson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Coalman's guard. Nice move by Jackson!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jackson trying to control but Coalman is working from the bottom.
Coalman wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position.
Jackson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Jackson throws a strike but Coalman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Coalman dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jackson scores with a kick to the midsection.
Jackson sizes up Coalman with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The fighters circle momentarily. Jackson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Coalman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Jackson throws a head kick that misses.
Jackson tries a head kick but it misses.
Jackson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Coalman back to the cage. Jackson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


Coalman is rocked!
Jackson misses with a wild combination.
Coalman has a takedown stuffed.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Coalman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jackson counters with a straight that turns Coalman's legs to rubber! Jackson pushes forward with more strikes and Coalman goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jay Jackson!
Jay Jackson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
