The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Name on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Name shoots for a takedown but Michima saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Name looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Name shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Some wild striking there from Name.
Michima throws a combination. Name tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Name is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Michima.
Michima lands a body shot.
Name tries to close the distance and clinch but Michima swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Name gets a takedown into half guard.
Name controlling the pace.
Name wants to take a breather but Michima is having none of it.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Name prevents Michima from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Michima pushes Name off looking to stand but Name dives back in and keeps control.
Name seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Michima wants to get back to his feet.
Name seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Michima does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Name shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Michima pinned against the cage. Michima gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Name is breathing heavily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Name.

A jab-cross combination lands for Michima and sends Name crashing to the mat! Michima follows him down to the mat - Name regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
