PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jones Zica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Donald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zica comes to the cage accompanied by Master of Puppets by Metallica. Donald is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mac Miller - Donald Trump . Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donald throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zica sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Good standup being displayed there by Zica as he connects with a hook.
Some bone on bone action there as Zica checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Zica takes a swing at Donald's ribcage but misses.

Zica bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Donald's head backwards.
Zica fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Donald looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Donald swings around for an armbar but Zica sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Donald's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Donald is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Zica is aware though and is defending well.

Donald bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Zica is not content to let Donald control the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

That was a close round but I would say that Jones Zica will probably get the nod.
That's time! Zica's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Zica lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Donald circles away quickly and effectively.

Zica tries to close the distance and clinch but Donald swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Donald's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Zica connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Donald scrambles back to his feet.

Donald takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Donald throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Zica tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Donald is in Zica's guard.

Donald sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Zica's guard.
Zica is staying active underneath Donald, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Donald jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Zica is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Zica and Donald has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Donald wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Zica, who protects the arm well.

Donald goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Zica has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Donald but great work by Zica.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Donald is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Zica knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Zica for a finish.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Zica comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Zica looks to land a right hand but Donald moved out of range.
Zica lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Donald lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Zica has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Zica and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Zica lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jones Zica is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
