And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Holmes.
Alvarez shoots in for a double leg but Holmes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Alvarez fails with the takedown
and Holmes moves into the clinch.
Holmes misses with an elbow strike.
Holmes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Alvarez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Holmes defends it nicely.

Alvarez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Holmes defends it easily.
