The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taalasmaa tries to clinch up but Purjo circles away and keeps his distance.
Taalasmaa jabs Purjo right on the nose. Purjo blinks but takes it well.
A clash of legs there as Purjo blocks the low kick.
Taalasmaa scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Purjo managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Taalasmaa.
Taalasmaa is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Purjo has escaped the position, nice work there.

Taalasmaa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Taalasmaa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Purjo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Taalasmaa wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Taalasmaa tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Taalasmaa has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Purjo should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Taalasmaa has tightened it up now! Purjo should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
