Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Esteban Delgado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Solomon Obasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obasi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Overkill. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Esteban Delgado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 20 - 1, fighting out of New York, Solomon Obasi!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, David Schapiro and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obasi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Delgado counters with a nice uppercut.
Delgado looks to land a left hand but Obasi moved out of range nicely.
Obasi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Obasi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Delgado manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Solomon Obasi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Delgado has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Obasi is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Delgado throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Solomon Obasi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Obasi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
