Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sparky Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Cent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson's entrance music is My time is now. A fine choice. Sparky Anderson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sparky Anderson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cent throws a sloppy head kick and Anderson moves out of range easily.
Anderson fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cent.
Cent throws a leg kick but Anderson moved away.
Cent throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown. Cent tries to sprawl out of it but Anderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cent manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Anderson moves into range and clinches up with Cent.
Anderson has clasped his hands together around Cent's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Cent is looking for a sweep.
Anderson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Anderson laying and praying for a moment but Cent takes advantage and regains half guard.

Anderson is working for a submission of some sort.

Cent is defending against the submission attempts here by Anderson.
Anderson works his way into side control.

Cent taking punishment in the form of punches.
Anderson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Cent is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Anderson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

After the fight, Sparky Anderson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
