Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jacek Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Meenny Vattalles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jacek Kowalski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Meenny Vattalles!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kowalski gets a clinch.
Kowalski stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Vattalles breaks the clinch.
Kowalski slips a jab from Vattalles.
A clash of legs there as Kowalski blocks the low kick.

Kowalski dives in and scores a takedown into Vattalles's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Kowalski drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vattalles manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kowalski has Vattalles in his guard.
Kowalski will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Kowalski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Vattalles defends well.
Vattalles tries to free his leg and advance position but Kowalski is retaining full guard.

Kowalski wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Vattalles decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Kowalski is looking for a kimura but Vattalles is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kowalski to get the leverage.

Kowalski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Vattalles throws a wild body kick that Kowalski sees coming a mile off.
Vattalles throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Vattalles misses with a wild body shot.
Kowalski tries to clinch up but Vattalles circles away and keeps his distance.

Kowalski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Vattalles throws out the jab.
Vattalles comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Vattalles ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kowalski is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vattalles's half guard.

Meenny Vattalles showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Vattalles throws a low kick but it's checked well by Kowalski.
Vattalles feints a jab promting Kowalski to slip. Vattalles then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kowalski slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Vattalles misses with a hook.
Vattalles swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Vattalles walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kowalski checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Vattalles thows a body shot but no joy.
Meenny Vattalles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kowalski lands a nice hook to Vattalles's body. Vattalles takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Vattalles misses with a two punch combination.

Kowalski darts in and clinches Vattalles up against the cage.
Kowalski drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vattalles gets the underhooks and prevents it.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jacek Kowalski.
I think Kowalski has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
