Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Vai Cavalo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Arlovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vai Cavalo comes to the cage accompanied by Tropa de Elite. Arlovski has chosen Hunt You Down as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andre Arlovski! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arlovski gets the takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Vai Cavalo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Vai Cavalo taking a bit of punishment here - Arlovski scoring with strikes. Arlovski trying to control the action but Vai Cavalo is working from the bottom. Vai Cavalo takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Arlovski is looking to take a break and control but Vai Cavalo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Vai Cavalo gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Arlovski counters with a nice double leg into guard. Arlovski throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vai Cavalo works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Arlovski bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Vai Cavalo is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Arlovski is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Vai Cavalo is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Arlovski is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Well, if Vai Cavalo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Arlovski tries to clinch up. The fight stays on the outside here - Arlovski looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Vai Cavalo misses with a takedown and Arlovski counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Arlovski lands a couple of decent looking shots. Arlovski missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Fabricio Vai Cavalo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Arlovski is in a horrible position here. Vai Cavalo smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Andre Arlovski. Well Arlovski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
