The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Vega counters with a right hand to the body.
Hunter throws a sloppy head kick and Vega moves out of range easily.
Hunter closes the distance but Vega moves to the side
and Vega counters with a left to the body.
Hunter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hunter tries to clinch up

and Vega holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Hunter is trying to pull guard but Vega has him pressed against the cage.

A head punch blocked on the inside by Hunter.
A right hook to the body lands for Vega.
Vega tries to throw a body punch but Hunter avoids it by throwing Vega back against the cage.
Vega lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Hunter.
Vega lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Hunter tries to circle away but Vega has him pinned against the cage.
Hunter has had enough of the clinch but Vega keeps him there for the moment.
Vega lands a body punch.

Vega has Hunter pressed against the cage, preventing Hunter from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Vega makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Hunter has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Hunter is trying to break free.
Vega throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Vega throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hunters head.
Hunter throws a knee to the head but misses.
Vega lands a hook that snaps the head of Hunter backwards.

Hunter looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Hunter breaks the clinch.
Hunter closes the distance looking to clinch

and Vega counters with a nice right hand that sends Hunter toppling to the canvas! Hunter scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Vega finish him?!

Hunter is rocked!

It looks like Eduard Hunter has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vega circles away from the clinch attempt

and Vega counters by moving into the clinch.
Hunter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Vega walks away with a smile on his face. Hunter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
No luck for Hunter with that takedown attempt.
Jeremy Vega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eduard Hunter.
Vega circles away from the clinch attempt
and Vega counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Hunter looks winded!

Hunter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hunter closes the distance looking to clinch
and Hunter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hunter is still on wobbly legs! Can Vega finish him?
Hunter tries for a takedown but Vega sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hunter seems to have recovered his senses.
Hunter moves to clinch but Vega breaks away
and Vega counters with a big right hand! Oh Hunter is in trouble here! Vega follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
