The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hernandez is looking to clinch.
Hernandez tries to clinch up

and Jones counters by clinching up.
Hernandez tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Jones decides to pull guard.

Hernandez drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jones dives on top into guard.
Hernandez not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jones controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jones looking to sit in guard and control but Hernandez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jones is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jacoby Jones just wasn't active enough.
Hernandez lands with a kick to the ribs.
Hernandez is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.

and Jones counters with a two punch combo.

Jones rushes Hernandez and presses him up against the cage.
Hernandez avoids the elbow strike from Jones, against the cage.
Jones is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hernandez gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hernandez smiles and moves away.
Hernandez shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily.
