The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson fails with a takedown attempt.
Decoteau misses with a few strikes there.
Anderson tries for a takedown but Decoteau sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Decoteau tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Anderson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Decoteau leaves Anderson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mike Decoteau has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Anderson.

Anderson has closed the distance and engaged Decoteau in a clinch.

Anderson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Decoteau walks away with a smile on his face. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Anderson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Decoteau lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Anderson circles away quickly and effectively.

Anderson seems to have recovered his senses.

Decoteau fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Anderson sprawls well initially but Decoteau persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
