Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igorl Sholvanski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez comes to the cage accompanied by It's Goin Down by T.C.. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Igorl Sholvanski was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sholvanski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Perez connects with a looping right hand.
Sholvanski takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Sholvanski takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Perez moves in looking to clinch but Sholvanski pushes him off.

Perez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Perez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee is keeping an eye on Sholvanski - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Perez lands a nice knee to the body.

Sholvanski escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A punch combination from Sholvanski misses.

Sholvanski has taken the fight to the clinch.

Perez jumps into guard, dragging Sholvanski to the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Perez trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Perez throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Perez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sholvanski's guard.

Perez stands up from guard. Let's bang!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sholvanski ducks under a wild hook from Perez.
Perez throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Perez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sholvanski. Sholvanski circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Perez goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Joshua Perez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sholvanski will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A shot to the body from Perez misses

and Sholvanski counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Perez's guard now.

Perez is looking to sinch up a triangle. Sholvanski throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Perez's body to avoid the submission. Perez has instead reached around Sholvanski's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Perez arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
