Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Soprano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boss Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soprano kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Got Yourself a Gun . Tony Soprano has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Tony Soprano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Boss Castro!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soprano lands a jab to the nose.
Soprano ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Castro sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A slow jab from Soprano misses its intended target.
Soprano looks to land a combination. Castro sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Soprano throws a quick inside leg kick.
Castro is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Soprano.
Castro tries to score with a low kick but Soprano moves his leg out of the way.
Castro finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Soprano misses with a head kick.
Soprano moves out of range of the body kick from Castro.
Castro scores with a shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A looping hook to the body misses from Soprano. Castro does a little dance to reset his feet.
Soprano is looking to land body kicks.
Boss Castro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Soprano swings for the body but Castro moves out of range.
Soprano lands with a thumping leg kick.
Soprano throws a body punch but Castro moves out of range.

Castro thumps Soprano with a low kick.
Soprano swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Castro.
Soprano lands a jab to Castro's midsection.
Castro on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
A chopping leg kick lands by Castro.
Castro throws a solid leg kick but Soprano takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Castro.
Good work by Soprano as he checks the leg kick.
Castro goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Some wild striking there from Castro.
Soprano punishes Castro's body with a nice straight punch.
Soprano blocks a leg kick.
Soprano on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A jab from Soprano finds it's way through Castro's defenses.

Castro is looking to slow Soprano down with leg kicks.
Castro tries to move into range but Soprano moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Castro throws a push kick but Soprano slaps the foot to one side.
Soprano lands a nice looking kick to the body. Castro takes a step back to recover.
Soprano ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Castro takes one to the chin there.
Soprano circles away from the clinch attempt.
Castro avoids the body shot from Soprano.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Soprano - that will leave a mark!

and Soprano counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Castro throws a head kick but Soprano moves out of range.

Soprano throws a nice inside leg kick.
Soprano scores with a hook to the body. Castro takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Soprano uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Castro.
An inside leg kick lands from Soprano.
Good leg kick by Soprano there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Castro looks winded!
Soprano checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
A jab from Soprano does it's job there.
Soprano connects with a single shot there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Soprano.
Castro takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Soprano cracks Castro with a right hand to the side of the head.
Soprano with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Soprano lands with a kick to the ribs.
Castro is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.


Castro is rocked!
Soprano feints and then cracks Castro's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Castro down.

Soprano throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Soprano moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Castro just misses with a punch to the body.
A slapping leg kick lands for Castro.
Castro's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Soprano throws out a powerful jab.
Castro is still on wobbly legs! Can Soprano finish him?
A slow jab from Castro misses its intended target.
A chopping leg kick lands by Soprano.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Soprano - that will leave a mark!
Castro seems to have recovered his senses.
Soprano closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Castro! Soprano dives in looking to finish! Castro is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tony Soprano!
An out of breath Tony Soprano thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
