And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lee Bannnon!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Bannnon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Johnson was well out of range. Poor timing from Bannnon.
Bannnon shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Johnson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Bannnon!

Bannnon might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Johnson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Bannnon tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Johnson presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Bannnon throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Johnson escapes and throws Bannnon's legs to the side, diving into side control!
