Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rad Jeffreis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jeffreis's choice of entrance music: Unity from Shinedown. Joe Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeffreis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Johnson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jeffreis somewhat.
Jeffreis shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Johnson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Johnson misses with a two punch combination.

Johnson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Jeffreis to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Joe Johnson has been cut.
Johnson wants to clinch up but Jeffreis keeps it at a distance.
Jeffreis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnson as he jumps to the side.
Joe Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rad Jeffreis.
Johnson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jeffreis circles away quickly and effectively.
Jeffreis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnson as he jumps to the side.

Johnson is trying to maintain the position but Jeffreis is very close to passing his half guard.

Jeffreis tries to pass to full mount but Johnson defends it.

After the fight, Rad Jeffreis was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
