The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benoit drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Benoit passes Palaszewski's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Palaszewski avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Benoit.
Benoit slips a nice elbow through Palaszewski's hands, connecting with Palaszewski's forehead.
Benoit thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Palaszewski's head.

Palaszewski is rocked!
Palaszewski is bucking up trying to escape but Benoit cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Oh Palaszewski is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Benoit lands a heavy elbow.
Benoit connects with a bit shot that sees Palaszewski covering up! More strikes from Benoit and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Benoit is our winner by TKO!
