Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Dunham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dunham has chosen Sentenced - Leverage as his entrance music. Pete Dunham has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunham blocks a head kick by Silva.
Silva showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Dunham.
Silva takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Silva decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Silva thows a huge punch but Dunham dodges it nicely.
Silva is pressing down on Dunham's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dunham is holding on for now.
Silva wants to control but Dunham is keeping him busy.

Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dunham, pushing him back against the ropes.

Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Dunham paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Silva.

and Silva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dunham keeps working.
Silva with the ground and pound but Dunham uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Dunham wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Silva wants to get up but he can't break Dunham's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dunham as he jumps to the side.

and Dunham counters with a nice uppercut.

and Silva counters with a three punch combo that has Dunham backing up. Dunham nods at Silva to acknowledge the strikes.

Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silva wants to clinch but Dunham slips to the side

and Dunham counters with a flying knee that sends his opponent to the canvas! Dunham looking to finish!

Silva is rocked!

Dunham stands and steps away. Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva wants to clinch but Dunham slips to the side
and Dunham counters with a leg kick.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Silva.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dunham is pushing Silva's head away, looking to escape. Silva manages to hold on to the position though.
Silva seems to have got his legs back now.

Silva stands up and beckons Dunham to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Silva closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Silva lands in his opponent's guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Dunham tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Dunham's guard now.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Dunham has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Silva off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Dunham tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

and Dunham counters with a series of strikes. Silva will be more careful next time no doubt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dunham lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Silva sprawling to the canvas. Dunham follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Silva hang on?

Silva pushes Dunham off looking to stand but Dunham dives back in and keeps control.
Dunham tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Dunham gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Silva tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dunham smiles and moves away.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dunham's guard.

Pete Dunham showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Dunham tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Dunham manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Silva manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dunham manages to get himself to full guard.
Silva is looking to stand up but Dunham won't let him.
Silva is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Dunham pushes Silva off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Dunham get's back to his feet.
Dunham rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dunham misses with a double jab
and Silva counters with a left to the body.
Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dunham swivels and escapes.

Dunham moves into the clinch.

Silva bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
