The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Paltiguera.
Paltiguera misses with a body shot.
A combination from Paltiguera does no damage.
Bane slips a jab and a cross from Paltiguera.
Bane comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Bane feints and as Paltiguera raises his hands in defense, Bane changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bane lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Paltiguera is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bane seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Bane postures up and lands a big shot to Paltiguera's brow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bane stands up and waves to Paltiguera to follow him.
Bane ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Paltiguera looks to score with a jab to the body but Bane is just out of range.

Bane drops Paltiguera with a beautiful combination! Paltiguera stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bane is looking for the KO!

It looks like Nick Paltiguera has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
