The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCormick lands a head shot.
Maritimus on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Maritimus shoots in for a takedown but McCormick shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
McCormick is looking to chop away at Maritimus's legs.
McCormick fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
McCormick throws a low kick but Maritimus avoids it.

Maritimus looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
McCormick throws a good cross that connects.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McCormick.
McCormick connects with a jab.
Maritimus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McCormick circles away quickly and effectively.
McCormick tries a head kick but it misses.

McCormick throws a half hearted mid kick.

Maritimus blocks a leg kick.
McCormick thows a body shot but no joy.
Maritimus walks straight into a right hand from McCormick - that's dropped him! McCormick jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Maritimus from any more punishment! Maritimus complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
