Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kiko Kaluma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaluma has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kiko Kaluma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Smith!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith is looking to clinch but Kaluma is avoiding it.
Smith wants to clinch.

Kaluma really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kaluma sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Smith's guard.
Smith has his hands clasped together around Kaluma's back. He's all about the action.

Kaluma is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Smith is concentrating on defense, preventing Kaluma from advancing position.
Smith has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kaluma is working away from the top position though.
Smith is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Matt Smith hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Smith is looking to clinch.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kaluma paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Kaluma wants to take the fight to the mat but Smith manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Kaluma is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Smith gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kiko Kaluma. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kaluma up against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Smith blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Kaluma jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Smith walks away with a smile on his face. Kaluma gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Smith is looking to clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Smith tries to clinch but Kaluma is having none of it.

Smith has taken the fight to the clinch.
Smith utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.

Kaluma tries to score a body lock takedown but Smith shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Smith stalling against the cage.
The crowd are getting on Smith's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Kaluma tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Smith's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Smith unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kaluma lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Smith obliges.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Matt Smith.
Smith moves in looking to clinch but Kaluma pushes him off.
Smith tries to clinch there but Kaluma circles away.

Smith fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kaluma, pushing him back against the cage.
Smith lands a big knee! That's hurt Kaluma! Oh, he's all over the place! Smith lands another knee that sends Kaluma to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matt Smith!
