The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stark tries to keep at a distance but Costa has taken the fight into the clinch.

Costa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Costa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stark sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Costa somewhat.
Stark moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stark displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Costa.
Costa takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Costa dives in and grabs Stark's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stark pushes down on Costa's head and hops out.
Stark will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Stark lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Costa circles away quickly and effectively.

Costa decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Costa here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
