The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zangief stuffs the takedown attempt from Krillan. Krillan gets slowly back to his feet.
Zangief swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Krillan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Krillan.

Zangief drops back, looking for a kneebar! Krillan looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Krillan looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Krillan!
Krillan tries for a kimura but Zangief is defending well.
Zangief tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Krillan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Zangief closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Krillan quickly recovers to half guard.
Krillan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Krillan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Zangief is working away from the top position though.
Zangief decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Krillan enables Zangief to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Krillan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Travis Zangief showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Zangief bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Krillan's guard.
Krillan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Krillan has momentary wrist control but Zangief slips an elbow through the middle.
Krillan controls Zangief momentarily but Zangief frees himself.

Travis Zangief is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Alistar Krillan has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Zangief feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Travis Zangief comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Zangief has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Travis Zangief started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
