Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Saunders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix Sandoval (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saunders comes into the arena with Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff blaring out of the sound system. Sandoval has chosen Overseer - Slayed as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saunders throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Sandoval shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Saunders as he avoids it easily.
Sandoval takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Sandoval throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Saunders was covering up waiting for the punch and Sandoval finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sandoval stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Saunders swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Saunders enables Sandoval to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Saunders manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Saunders is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That was a close round but I would say that Joe Saunders will probably get the nod.

Sandoval has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Saunders is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Sandoval yanks on the arm and Saunders is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Sandoval.
