The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saltzman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Stokenhizer counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Saltzman tries for a takedown but Stokenhizer circles away easily
and Stokenhizer counters with a one-two to the body.
Saltzman shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Stokenhizer counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Saltzman is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Hanz Stokenhizer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Saltzman.
Saltzman fails with the takedown
and Stokenhizer counters with a flying knee. Nice.


Saltzman is rocked!

Stokenhizer instigates a clinch.

Stokenhizer prevents a takedown attempt there.

It looks like Jon Saltzman has been cut.

Stokenhizer tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Saltzman seems to have recovered his senses.
Stokenhizer is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Saltzman is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Stokenhizer is defending well.
Saltzman has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stokenhizer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Stokenhizer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Stokenhizer scores with a head kick. Saltzman tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Saltzman doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Stokenhizer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The fighters circle, before Stokenhizer throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Saltzman's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Stokenhizer lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Hanz Stokenhizer!
