Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tj Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mongolia Heed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heed is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Gentlelman. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tj Shields!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Mongolia Heed!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Shields uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Heed.
Heed shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shields is trying to defend but Heed finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Heed thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Heed working Shields over with strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shields makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Shields.
Shields looking for a sweep. Not yet Shields, not yet.
Heed postures up in Shields's guard and throws a big left but Shields blocks it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Heed accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Shields is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Heed defends well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Heed wants to control from the top but Shields keeps moving.
Heed landing with the ground and pound.
Heed preventing the sweep.
Heed is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shields tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Shields throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Heed distracts Shields with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Shields working for a triangle but Heed defends it easily.
Heed won't allow Shields to sweep him here.
Heed trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Shields is looking to sinch up a triangle. Heed throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Shields's body to avoid the submission. Shields has instead reached around Heed's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Shields arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Tj Shields!
