Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Michael Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocco Sifreddi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sifreddi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I'm too sexy. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Rocco Sifreddi enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sifreddi instigates a clinch.
Carter is trying to pull guard but Sifreddi has him pressed against the cage.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Carter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sifreddi is pressed up against the cage. Carter has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sifreddi down to the mat. Sifreddi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Carter tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sifreddi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Carter somewhat.
Carter moves out of range of the body kick.
Sifreddi lands a two punch combo.
Carter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Carter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Sifreddi clinches.
Carter wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Sifreddi stalls.
Carter is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Sifreddi to keep the fight standing.

Sifreddi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sifreddi tries to sprawl but Carter drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Carter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Carter slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Carter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Sifreddi looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Carter has picked Sifreddi up and slammed him! Sifreddi can't keep hold of the triangle and Carter manages to pass to side control!
Carter staying calm.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Carter stands up and beckons Sifreddi to his feet.

Carter takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Carter gets tackled into the cage by Sifreddi. Sifreddi maintains the clinch.
Carter swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Sifreddi landing knees to the head.
Carter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sifreddi walks away with a smile on his face. Carter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Sifreddi gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Sifreddi tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Sifreddi manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Carter is trying to stall.

Carter wants to break the clinch but can't.
Carter fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Sifreddi effectively controlling the action here.
Sifreddi is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Carter working aggressively here.
Carter drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sifreddi pulls his leg out and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Rocco Sifreddi will probably get the nod.
That's time! Carter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Sifreddi throws a one two combo.
Sifreddi lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Sifreddi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carter looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Carter can't do much from the bottom here.

Carter is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sifreddi off and has taken his back!

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Carter's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
I really don't envy Sifreddi right now.
Sifreddi trying to get back to his feet but Carter is in full control for now.
Carter gets his hands free as Sifreddi looks to control.
Michael Carter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Sifreddi looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Carter is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Sifreddi with him. Sifreddi is trying to defend but Carter has an arm under the chin now! Sifreddi grimaces and is forced to tap out!
