Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Espiridion Araya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clay Mallly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mallly throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Araya was covering up waiting for the punch and Mallly finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Araya wants to stand up but Mallly is controlling him.
Mallly distracts Araya with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Araya utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Mallly trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Mallly loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Mallly changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Araya looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mallly changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Araya tries to avoid it but Mallly manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Araya to the ground. Araya escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Mallly closes the distance and clinches up with Araya, looking for a takedown. Mallly pushes Araya against the cage but Araya circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mallly shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Araya defends it nicely.
Espiridion Araya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Clay Mallly.
Mallly keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Clay Mallly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Araya stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Araya wants it to stay on the feet.

and Araya counters with a three punch combo that has Mallly backing up. Mallly nods at Araya to acknowledge the strikes.
Mallly looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Mallly takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Araya shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Mallly eats them both and turns towards Araya to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Mallly steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Araya. That one must have hurt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Araya counters with a big head kick but Mallly shrugs it off.

Mallly shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Araya napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Espiridion Araya has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Clay Mallly is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Mallly wants to pass the guard but Araya is keeping the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
