Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sylvia Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

St Pierre has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.

St Pierre breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

St Pierre darts in and clinches Silva up against the cage.
Silva tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. St Pierre smiles and moves away.

St Pierre feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Silva is looking for a triangle but St Pierre pushes his legs off easily.

St Pierre trying to stand up but can't free himself from Silva's guard.
St Pierre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
St Pierre slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
St Pierre wants to pass the guard but Silva is keeping the position.

Silva looking for a guillotine here but St Pierre defends easily.
Silva could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

St Pierre is posturing up here but Silva has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! St Pierre tries to roll out but it's too tight and St Pierre has to tap! Slick submission there by Silva!
